NIOS Coaching also guides to fill the form for online admissions in all streams of NIOS Board for 10th and 12th students.

NIOS offers its courses mainly in English, Hindi and Urdu medium. At the Secondary levels, apart from English, hindi, urdu you also have a choice of Telugu, Gujarati Malayalam and Marathi as other mediums for study

NIOS offers its courses particularly in English, Hindi and Urdu mediums. For Secondary level, the course is offered in Regional Mediums too. The independence in choosing medium is also available in Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi and Malayalam in addition to English, Hindi and Urdu languages. The student is not bound to choose any one of these mediums for studies.

Regular schooling requires children to study all the subjects, two languages, science, mathematics, and social studies; each subject may have more than one paper. The school boards with which regular schools are registered allow an exemption from second language for students with a language disability; and some boards require the magnitude of this disability to exceed 50% to qualify for the exemption. No other boards allow exemptions from science or mathematics, such as for students with arithmetic inabilities.

The secondary examination subjects can be chosen , any one or two of 15 different languages mathematics, science, social studies, economics, business studies, home science, typewriting (either of two languages), word processing (either of two languages), psychology, and Indian culture and heritage.

In contrast, the NIOS requires students to study a minimum of five and a maximum of seven subjects. There is a very wide range of subjects on offer; students, therefore, have much flexibility in selecting areas in which they are able to attempt an examination. Students are also free to change subjects midway through the course if they are remorseful with their choice. Students can choose from among three languages for their language choice for medium of instructing.

The senior secondary examination subjects can be chosen from the following list: any one or two of three different languages; mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, political science, economics, commerce, accounts, home science, typewriting (any of three languages), word processing, stenography (any of three languages), secretarial practice, psychology, computer science, sociology, and painting.

Are subjects already passed from any other Board allowed to be moved or shifted to NIOS?

NIOS BOARD is very considerate about the students and keeps on coming up with innovative ideas as to how they can help the grieved student by bringing new rules to comfort them and decrease their anxiety and work pressure.

The TOC (Transfer Of Credit) is one such rule of the NIOS board. In NIOS board the student can get credit transferred to a maximum of four subjects from NIOS (Old students/Ex students) and to a maximum of two subjects for other recognized board like CBSE/CISCE/UP board and all other government recognized and approved boards. Twenty-six national and state boards including the CBSE and CISCE have agreed and entered into MOUs (memorandum of understanding) with NIOS for transfer of credit.

The basic concept of TOC is to reduce the burden on student from restudying the same subject again in which he/she has scored good marks. This reduces the frustration and anxiety of the student to a great extent and helps the student Psychologically by reducing the subjects in which he/she has to reappear for board exams.

According to the original proposal only those students who have passed the Class VIII exam and have completed 15 years of age were to be admitted to the NIOS Coaching so that students are not tempted to leave regular schooling to answer the public exams from the state NIOS Coaching.

NIOS Coaching provides the information about NIOS board(National Institute of NIOS Coachinging) as well as coaching classes, syllabus and tuition for 10th (secondary) & 12th (senior secondary) students of NIOS Board by renowned and highly qualified faculty and staff. NIOS Coaching also guides to fill the form for online admissions in all streams of NIOS Board for 10th and 12th students.

The NIOS acknowledges by accepting knowledge for allowing transfer of credits upto two passed subjects from any recognized Boards of Examination / State NIOS Coachings. You can benefit from the facility of Transfer of Credit (TOC) to a maximum of two subjects passed from the said Boards provided these subjects make a space for being mentioned in NIOS scheme of studies. Transfer of subjects is given as per the rules and conditions. The learners who wish to join formal school board in class XI after passing NIOS exam of class X may take these subjects combinations (in 5 or 6 subjects) which are considered to be taken in class XI by formal school Board, without the preconception to the exactness of NIOS.

NIOS's flexibility in conduct of examinations allows students to apply for three or more subjects at a given time. The institute has introduced a transfer of credit system which allows marks scored by a learner in up to two subjects at previous exams of NIOS or other boards to be taken into account for declaring the candidate to have passed the exam. Twenty-six national and state boards including the CBSE, STATE BOARDS and CISCE have entered into Mous with NIOS for TOC.

Ex-Secondary/Senior Secondary students of the recognized Boards of School Education who have passed in at least one or more subjects, but have not qualified in the course, may take advantage from facility of TOC provided by NIOS. The criteria under which a student can take advantage of this facility is that, the student can use this concept of Toc (transfer the credits) to a maximum to two subjects, under the condition that the subjects are passed in the last five years. The credits will only be given in those subjects that are included in the syllabus of NIOS. TOC in the subjects having practicals at Sr. Secondary level will be allowed only when the student is passed in theory as well as practical examination separately. The student will have to provide the full information including the marks obtained in those subjects in which he desires to use the TOC facility. The student will have to attach their original mark sheet of the board in which they appeared for board examination.

These tips will tell you 'How to prepare for Nios exams in Short and convenient time', 'How to prepare for a secondary (10th) nios exam' as well as senior secondary (12th) nios exam. Here are the success tips to follow: .

The 1st success tip: Never fear or hate nios exam and be confident as this board is more like the CBSE pattern. Some students study well but still may be much afraid of nios exams and due to this reason they get distracted and are not able to score better marks. So leave all your worries and free your brain before starting the preparation for NOS. You have to be confident and it is the most desired power you should have for attaining success. Students should know that there is no shortcut to success and if you studied hard it is guaranteed that good marks will definitely show in your result.

The 2nd success tip: Prepare a good time table, as anything without planning is a waste of time. Prepare a time table before starting the study schedule. This should include all the subjects but may not be with equal priority. Tough subjects can be given more time and easier ones less and also there should be sufficient intervals between each subject. It is a benefit that NIOS gives good exam preparation material (study material) and if students just concentrate on it, it will save a lot of time in preparation for board exams.

The 3rd success tip: Select a proper atmosphere and surrounding for studying. Study atmosphere has very important role. It should not be like you are watching TV and trying to study at the same time. One thing at one time is when people can extract maximum benefit from the task. Can anyone study well while watching TV? So select a place where you feel comfortable and cozy. That is where you feel relaxed and can concentrate. And importantly it is better to study early morning when all the surroundings will be in silent and you can concentrate more. You need positive energy and your marks will definitely increase, it is a promise.

The 4th success tip: Sit straight this is so important that you have to sit in proper manner while studying. Don't study on bed or lying on a chair instead sit straight. Keep your spinal cord straight. Otherwise placing the legs on the ground causes ionization and induces sleep. It is better to place the legs almost parallel to ground but a little lower.

The 5th success tip: Make notes while studying. An ideal note shall include all important formulae and figures and also other important points. It will be a lot worth if you use this not for the revision in last hours than you skipping through pages of your text book. Also make sure that you download and practice all last year papers from our website for getting a proper understanding about the exam pattern of NIOS.

The 6th success tip: Write and Present well. Try to present answers in points. In essay questions don't forget to underline the important points. Teachers checking in NIOS board pay a lot of attention to cursive and fear writing. Your hand writing also affects your marks. If it is not good enough, don't worry, if you presented it in a good manner you can score more marks. And another important factor to remember, As we all know 'First impression is the best impression'. So, answer the questions you know well, first. This will create a good impression on the evaluator and though you could not write some last answers well, that won't deduct your mark much.

The 7th success tip: Believe in God, Believe in you. The last but not the least point pray well before the nios exam and your mind should be free at least 5 minutes before nios exam. Is it necessary to have a two years gap between passing of Secondary and Sr. Secondary Examination?

Yes, a two years gap is essential between passing of secondary and Sr. Secondary examination If a learner does not have the requisite gap of two years, he/she can appear in maximum of four subjects only in the first year. He/she will be eligible to appear in remaining subjects only on completion of two years gap.

This has come as a boon for the students as the students don’t have to appear in all the exams at once but can appear in some subjects the next year after secondary level and remaining the year later. A student can appear up to a max of 4 papers in the first year after secondary level thereby releasing the pressure of appearing in all the exams at once after two years unlike other prominent board.

Learners admitted to Senior Secondary Course must confirm that for the reason of getting a certificate at the Senior Secondary level, a two-year gap is mandatory from the year of passing the Secondary examination. If you do not have the required gap and interval of two years, you can then apply in a maximum of four subjects only in the upcoming April-May 2017 examination and subsequent October-November 2017 Examination. You will be eligible to appear in the rest of subjects only on finishing of the two years period.

In the condition where two years gap condition is not met, your examination fee will be managed and balanced for the first four taken subjects and the rest fee, if paid for other subjects, will be lost. Registration for a course is valid for five years from the year of registration allowing nine chances to appear in the public examination held two times in a year during this period. A two year gap is essential between passing of Secondary (class X) and Sr. Secondary (class XII) level. This means one can take the Class X and XII exams at any age without a barrier as long as one is above ten years of age, though one has to wait for two years between taking the Class X and the Class XII exams - do not know why they want this gap. Choice of subjects is again completely free as opposed to fixed combinations in a conventional school. NIOS recently introduced the On Demand Examination System (ODES) under which learners can appear for examination in any subject as and when they feel ready for it.

NIOS also wants to take action plan for making education inclusive for the disadvantaged underprivileged groups like minorities, differently- able (physically and mentally challenged) and all other people. It also offers a wide choice of courses of study in general, vocational and continuing education up to pre-degree level. NIOS also provides effective student support for new students by establishing study points , organizations and institutions in India abroad. It is also concerned and responsible for conducting examinations and issuing certificates to successful pass outs. Undertaking research, innovation and development works in the area of NIOS Coaching system and disseminate the findings to all stakeholders is other task and function that this board has to fulfill. To act as Resource Organization and Capacity Building Centre in NIOS Coachinging at national as well as international level.

NIOS Coaching provides the information about NIOS board(National Institute of NIOS Coachinging) as well as coaching classes, syllabus and tuition for 10th (secondary) & 12th (senior secondary) students of NIOS Board by renowned and highly qualified faculty and staff. Though NIOS is flexible and recognized by all the boards across India. The CICSE and CBSE boards (for 11th and 12th std) take students from the NIOS stream only if they have given all 5 exams in one sitting and another requisite is that the student needs to have taken English and one more language as subjects.

Similarly NIOS is accepted in almost all colleges and IITs. Some argue that the child has completed, as mentioned above, all subjects in one sitting, and English plus second language in their 10th. All colleges having an entrance exam for qualifying the students do recognize NIOS. For Children who have language difficulties, and do not write the second language paper in NIOS - it is advised that they join other course with Alliance Franchise when they complete 10th standard. This will help them to join any college other than professional colleges, which have a second language requirement.

It operates through a network of eleven Regional Centres and more than two thousand Accredited Institutions (AIs) (Study Centres) including 800 Accredited Vocational Institutes (AVI) in India, Nepal and Middle East. Admission is through NIOS Accredited Institutions (AIs) once a year from July to September for Academic courses and throughout the year for vocational courses through AVI. Difference between ICSE, CBSE and NIOS Board?

At the national level there are three central boards - CBSE, CISCE and NIOS each have their own advantages and disadvantages. It is totally up to the students and his guardians to decide which board they will prefer for their kids to study. Education in India is very highly dependent on the content of the syllabus offered and most parents when choosing school for their child ignore the type of education provided by the school but rather giving priority to the syllabus it offers.

CBSE(central board of secondary Education) was founded in 1952 .This board is a regular board and the student enrolled in this board has to attend classes at his school. The main purpose of bringing this board into existence was to bring all school and colleges across India under one board so that every student has the same knowledge at all India level when he /she clears their board exams of class (X and XII ). This aim was achieved by bringing central school (kendra vidyalaya) into existence that would help the children of those government employees who have a transferable job that involve midyear transfers. The CBSE syllabus is well designed and keeps the students up to date by constantly revising the syllabus. The syllabus is designed by NCERT (National Council for Education Research in Training). The NCERT work is to constantly update the syllabus to keep it up to date with the latest trend in education. A number of changes have been incorporated lately, the prominent decision being to make board examination at the end of Grade -10 optional while the Grade -12 is (mandatory).

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is a private, non-governmental board of school education in India. It conducts two examinations in India: the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate(ISC). The CISCE was set up in 1956 at the meeting of the Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Educational proposal was adopted for the setting up of an Indian Council to administer the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate's Examinations in India. It is an all-India, but not a government sponsored board (unlike the CBSE and NIOS). It is based in New Delhi.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) reviews its course once in three years. A serious need for mainstream courses like fine arts and painting is felt. There are courses that have faced step-motherly behavior from other boards till now.

But NIOS is looking to amend this in the interest of the students. NIOS being a central board, policies and procedures formed by it ought to be implemented by other boards at the state level too. The new education system prepared by the NIOS should be implemented by other boards as well. Under NIOS, students appear for six compulsory subjects in senior secondary, while under CISCE they have to take only four subjects. Special importance is given to subjects alike painting, home science or sociology which other boards like CBSE or ICSE have not given.

NIOS has now been one of the most prominent board of in India. The board has be approved and founded by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, government of India through resolution (No. F.5-24/90 Sch.3 dated 14 September 1990 published in the Gazette of India on 20 October 1990). It gives the freedom to the students to study from home. The syllabus is up to date as it is designed by NCERT (National Council for Education Research in Training). This makes the syllabus competent and equivalent to CBSE and CISCE boards. The students preparing for entrance exams have started preferring NIOS as the mode of study to complete their Secondary and Senior secondary courses. The students these days start preparing for their competitive exams from class Xth/secondary level so this gives them ample time to study and concentrate on the competitive exam which they aspire to qualify. This is why NIOS is the preferred board these days by students over other board. The NIOS students gain the same knowledge as that by a student from any other board because the course content is equally competent and of same level as that of any other board. The students of NIOS board in fact score well and the pass percentage is higher than any other board.

The problem arises because universities ask for scores in five subjects for admission. We advise parents to motivate their students to take five subjects. The theory-practical ratio for evaluation under CBSE is 60:40 compared to the 70:30 under ICSE. "The CBSE ratio gives students the chance to score more, whereas the third central board - National Institute of NIOS Coachinging (NIOS) - is all about facilitating students who are unable to pursue regular studies. The only difference between CBSE, ICSE boards and NIOS is that it is flexible in the n choice of subjects. It is an open learning schooling and learners attend a contact learning programme for several months under stream1, 2, 3 & 4 unlike regular students. Therefore NOS sometimes gives ample opportunities to students as they get many chances to clear the examination. NIOS is identical to CBSE in terms of curriculum.

Parents need to be positive about the exam result of their wards and encourage children to do better, instead of instilling fear in them and making them frustrated, it's frustration that pushes children to end their life because there is still hope after it by the name of N.I.O.S Board. Many failed students from other boards set their career back on track by getting admitted to this government recognized nios delhi board. As Board results are announced, a disturbing trend of suicides among ‘failed’ students comes into the limelight throughout the country. Although such suicides appear to be a conscious effort on the part of these students to redeem themselves of probable social stigma over their failure, but quick solution to this problem is getting them admitted in NIOS for 10th or 12th board exam failures.

New Delhi city-based senior psychiatrist, says, “In recent years, expectations have soared among the parents over their children scoring high marks. Not only the parents, but their pressure instill that craving even among children, who then feel that scoring high marks is the only way to lead a good life in the future. But there is a constant pressure. Different individuals have different capacities, naturally inherited right from their birth. Parents are hammering the children to study well and get high marks. They feel that the society would blame them for their dear ones taking their own lives for their own failure.”

He says that when children do not meet the expectations of their parents of passing exams, they fear social stigma. They feel the only option is to take their own life. The parents must counsel children, impressing upon them that failing in exams does not mean the end of the world as NIOS Board brings bright hope for them. Parents and the society should accept that some students do not do well and ultimately fail in Boards like CBSE, ICSE or UP Board. But now, in rapidly expanding cities, mainly like New Delhi, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur, Gorakhpur etc the lack of such bonding results in students often putting pressure on themselves to meet their parents’ expectations. Both parents and children alike then feel that achieving high marks is the single-most important thing in life. And failure? Because of such feelings spreading through the people, students see failure as a road to social stigma and ignorance by close ones. That pushes them into a hopeless corner, from where they perceive suicide as the only way out. Children these days are delicate. If their children are not good in Board Exams, parents should tell them about other things they could be good at and support them to develop those capabilities. If children fail in exams, they should bring confidence. Failing is not the end. Adults should teach children how to fight back. A mother attempting suicide or a brother taking his own life because his sister failed in the CBSE exams will only push the poor student who has failed to commit suicide.

Experts feel it is only a heart-to-heart talk that parents could give their children ahead of the exams or results, telling them to “do their best and forget the rest” and there is still bright hope that could help bring a positive attitude among the children. It is surely not the end of the world and students have a long life to battle other hardships that are waiting to encounter them. This attitude can help the children look at “failure” as just a learning step towards their ultimate goal—a happy, successful life.

What is range of percentage Marks that NIOS gives?

NIOS gives 80 percent and above for really exceptional students and learners. NIOS Board is quite strict in their correction pattern but if you want more assistance to increase your percentage please call us on 9911890189 immediately. The subjects which include practical papers will have an advantage than theory papers like Home science, data entry, chemistry, physics etc. Usually NIOS students given their limitations of time or interest in academics, they get 70 to 80 percent average and this is more than sufficient to get into courses that can give you leverage in your career to top courses ahead in your life. IGNOU in this regard offers excellent courses for graduating and post graduating students which have a great degree of value in the job market. It is for professional courses like Catering, Hospitality and Interior Decoration which are offered as Graduate courses now, and in great demand, they even prefer NIOS students, due to the choice of subjects and exposure they have. So we can conclude that there is no difference for a student to have passed 10 and 12th from ICSE,CBSE, NIOS or other state board as long as he has secured good percentage to be eligible to get admitted into a reputed college or course that fits the candidates desires and his/her interest.

One of the major deficiencies of the formal secondary schooling system dominated by most of India CISCE, CBSE and 34 state examination boards is its rigidity and curricular inflexibility, with students given almost no independence to choose preferred subjects for study. Add to this the fear of the make-or-break examination system which takes an estimated annual toll of 4,000 student suicides. In the light of these factors, the unique selling proposition of NIOS, which traces its origin to a flexible secondary certification pilot project initiated by the CBSE in 1979, is the freedom of choice of subjects it offers students who write its secondary (class X) and senior secondary school (class XII) exams. For instance teenagers writing the class X exam are given the option to choose five from 27 subjects (including maths, social science, science, economics, business studies, painting, Indian heritage, psychology, etc) and two languages from 17 (including Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, etc). Students are required to obtain a minimum 33 percent in five subjects with at least one language or at most two languages, to receive the NIOS School leaving certificate. No subjects except any one language are compulsory.
